Muti Oils is one of the world’s most caring and conscientious organic skincare and healthy living brands, born out of Founder and CEO Melina Macall’s 25 years of experience in holistic wellness and clinical aromatherapy. It all started when Melina was living in a damp, cold student house in the North of England and walked past a store selling essential oils. As the combined scents of the oils reached out to her on the sidewalk, Melina immediately felt happier and purchased some oils. Experimentation and education followed and, ever after, Melina has continued to enjoy and share the benefits of aromatherapy. As a new mother, Melina discovered that baby products included ingredients that she did not want anywhere near her wonderful, pure baby. And so the first Muti mother and baby line was created to offer products that would be safe and beneficial to use during and after pregnancy. Her first child is now 12 and Muti has grown into a unique collection of skincare products all with original formulations, using the finest, all natural, organic ingredients. A lifelong social activist, Melina sources fair trade and environmentally sensitive products. Muti has never used secondary packaging and employs extremely clean manufacturing processes. As the green movement has grown and new opportunities arise, Muti evolves in a continual effort to keep its carbon footprint to a tiptoe. With a full commitment to advocacy, Muti believes in giving back to the community and has actively supported many organizations and causes since the company’s inception. Muti’s path to Greenliness: Ingredients: sourced locally where possible fair trade, organic, wild-crafted (sustainable source) whenever possible fully bio-degradable, non-toxic to both user and environment all natural, vegan, plant and plant based, no pthalates, parabens, SLS or other nasties! Packaging: recyclable and/or recycled sourced/manufactured locally wherever possible (presently 90%) Gift boxes are seeded card (made from post consumer recycled paper) No secondary packaging Printing is done digitally which is cleaner and produces less waste than off-set printing.
